Associate | NSDA Architects
I am an associate in a medium-large size firm (35+/-) that works in all sectors: public, private, institutional. My work has primarily been in the public sector and I usually work on all phases from design to contract administration. Some of the projects I have worked on: Dr. Peter Center - short term residential and day programs for people living with HIV/AIDS; Kate Booth House - emergency housing for women and children fleeing abuse; The Budzey Building - supportive housing for women and women led families; Covenant House Vancouver - housing and support programs for youth experiencing homelessness (3 buildings, 3 construction phases). I am currently working on a rental housing and daycare project for the YWCA. What I enjoy about these types of projects is that each one is unique which requires an in-depth understanding of the program. These projects challenge my thinking and skills to create buildings that support the goals and values of the client (end user, operator, non-profit group).
