Riley Syjuco
Project Architect | HDR
Since joining the firm in 2014, and re-joining in 2018 after completing his Masters in Architecture from the University of Calgary, Riley has found himself working primarily on civic and recreation projects. He focuses on buildings at the heart of the local communities to help foster a future for growing and established communities alike. His experience playing and coaching hockey allows him to provide a unique athlete’s perspective to his work, particularly when it comes to the many arenas he has had the opportunity to work on while at HDR. Other projects include swimming pools, civic and community centres, existing and new arenas, and a few libraries. Experience includes all aspects and phases of design from Concept Design to Contract Administration, with experience as a Technologist for intimate knowledge of detailing. Also has a keen interest in computational design. Have been in the profession since 2014, graduated from Masters in 2018 and Project Architect since 2022.
