Bob is a principal at Lanarc Consulting and was the founding principal and owner of Attentus Landscape Architecture. He is a registered landscape architect in Vancouver with over 30 years of experience throughout North America. Bob is a former sessional instructor at UBC, former board of director at the BCSLA, and recently completed his term on the UBC Advisory Design Panel. His professional experience spans a full range of project types and scales—from densely urban public places to green infrastructure, playgrounds, sports facilities, and ecological restoration. Bob offers a deep knowledge of landscape architecture and project experience, as well as excellent project management skills. Bob has served as an expert witness related to landscape restoration. Prior to starting his own firm in 2008, Bob worked in the private sector for several prominent landscape architects including Catherine Berris (Vancouver), Randy Sharp and Larry Diamond (Vancouver), Ron Williams & Vincent Asselin (Montreal), Gerry Corush & John Wright (Ottawa), and James Martin (Chicago). Bob’s professional experience includes numerous significant design and master planning projects including Garden City Park in Richmond (master plan and Phase 1), Westhill Stadium Professional Soccer upgrades in Langford, the Sarah Beckett Memorial Playground in Langford, the Granville Island Water Park enhancements, numerous daycare playgrounds including the Wesbrook Daycare Playground at UBC, Maplewood Creek salmon spawning habitat in North Vancouver, and the Sea to Sky Highway from Horseshoe Bay to Whistler.
